Barbara P. Sosiak, MSN, RN, Represents Pennsylvania with Entry into Renowned Publication Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare
Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare and the International Nurses Association are proud to announce that Barbara P. Sosiak, MSN, RN, is being honored for her exceptional successes in the nursing community. Over 40 years practicing, Barbara Sosiak has demonstrated the passion and enthusiasm for patient care necessary to be considered a Top Nurse in her field.
Currently, Barbara is retired from being a public health nurse based out of Spring City Pennsylvania; beginning her career in 1962. Although no longer working as a nurse, Barbara is highly active in the nursing field continuing her work as an educator, public speaking in her community, and volunteering. Earlier in Barbara’s career she taught medical/surgical nursing at the University of Pennsylvania from 1966-1970. Now she mentors students from Rutgers and Drexel Universities; as well as, speaks on behalf of professional groups within her community. Barbara also spends time volunteering in South Jersey for the MAP program (Mobilizing for Action through Partnership) and planning with the Community Health Outreach Consortium of New Jersey. Her dedication and distinction was recognized in 2007 from the Helen Fuld Board of Directors with the Appreciation of Service Award, and the Governor's Nursing Merit Award for Excellence in Public Health Nursing from the State of New Jersey.
Barbara graduated from the University of Rochester in New York in 1962 with her RN and Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. An advocate for continued education, Barbara has completed extensive courses over the years; as well as obtaining her Master’s of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1966.
