Representing the pediatricians of Philadelphia, Brian D. Hanna, MD, has been selected to represent his community in the publication of The Leading Physicians of the World. Serving the Cardiac Center at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for 24 years, Dr. Hanna represents the commitment, excellence, and passion for patient care needed to receive this prestigious honor.
Dr. Hanna specializes in pediatric cardiology at the leading cardiac center of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, in Pennsylvania. This hospital is ranked in the Number 1 spot in U.S. News & World Report’s 2011-12 Honor Roll of the nation’s Best Children’s Hospitals. Dr. Hanna serves as Director of the pulmonary hypertension program (high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs) at the cardiac center. His other clinical interests include cardiac catheterization in children, and thoracic organ transplantation in children.
Dr. Hanna has been serving children since the completion of his pediatric cardiology and research fellowship, completed in Boston and Montreal. He is double board certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology from the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Hanna is currently conducting research trials on pulmonary hypertension and congenital heart disease, primarily in children. This research also extends into book chapters, editorials, and abstracts: many of which feature Dr. Hanna’s findings. In addition to his work with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, The University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine is proud to have Dr. Hanna as a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics.
