Bruce Geibel is a seasoned senior management executive in the maritime industry with well over four decades of diverse professional experience in various industries. Throughout his phenomenal career, he has routinely demonstrated the passion, vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the elite.
Exercising his extensive experience and expertise in the field as well as his extraordinary leadership abilities, Mr. Geibel currently serves as Vice President of Facilities Operations and Maintenance with SwiftShips Shipbuilders LLC, which is a company with a long established history of designing and building the most reliable mid-sized vessels in the world, specializing in the military and commercial sectors. In his position with SwiftShips Shipbuilders, Bruce is responsible for providing managerial support for the company’s worldwide operations in the areas of facility, operations, and maintenance.
Simultaneous to his position with SwiftShips Shipbuilders, Bruce serves as an Associate with Dave Nash & Associates International LLC. He is also the Owner and Operator of Geibel Enterprises. Over the course of his incredibly impressive career, he has held several other prominent positions, including Project Manager of Contingency Projects and Program Manager of Disaster Relief Projects for BE&K Federal Services. In addition, Mr. Geibel served honorably in the United States Navy for over 25 years, retiring as a Captain of the Civil Engineer Corps in 1991.
Although he has gathered a considerable amount of his expertise through his voluminous professional experience, Bruce is also an extensively educated individual who earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Clemson University and a Master of Science degree in Financial Management from Naval Postgraduate School. In addition, he received a Certificate of Completion in Facilities Management from the APPA Institute of Facilities Managers and a Certificate of Completion in Construction Quality Management for Contractors from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Evidencing his remarkable reputation in the professional community, Mr. Geibel is a Life Member of the Atlanta Vietnam Veterans Business Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe. He is also a founding member, past Vice President and a Historian of the MCB-11 Association. In addition, Bruce is a member of the Public Works Association, Clemson Alumni Association, and the American Legion.
Further demonstrating his professional proficiency, Bruce has been the recipient of various awards over the years, including a United States Navy Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Meritorious Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, South Carolina Toastmaster of the Year Award, and a First Lady of Guam Outstanding Employee of Handicapable Persons Award.
