Dari A. Patsiokas Is Displayed In The Stanford Who’s Who Network

CORAL SPRINGS, FL,   January 22, 2013 /Stanford Who’s Who/ -- An extraordinary artist and entrepreneur with well over three decades of diverse professional experience in the field, Dari A. Patsiokas has consistently demonstrated the passion, vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be mentioned among the elite.

As a result of her sensational body of work as well as the enormous amount of success she has experienced throughout her career in the arts, Dari A. Patsiokas has earned acceptance in the distinguished network of celebrated professionals with Stanford Who’s Who.

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa where she fought for human rights and gender equality, Dari relocated to Toronto, Canada in 2008 and was subsequently granted recognition from the USA government through the award of the prestigious 0-1 visa for exceptional talent in 2010.  Dari presently resides in Coral Springs, Florida where she creates original paintings and sculptures inspired by her love of horses, friends, family and her natural surroundings. Among her main inspirations are her friends in spirit Man Ray, Pissaro, Monet, Van Gogh, Signac, Max Pechstein, Karl Schmidt- Rottluff, Rodin, and Michelangelo.

Over the course of her incredibly impressive career, Dari’s artwork has been featured in private and corporate collections in the United States, Germany, Belgium, Britain, France, Israel, Canada, South Africa, Australia and Poland. She has also been commissioned to create works for various members of Parliament in Africa. Dari has frequently had her work exhibited internationally and was invited to represent South Africa at the International Biennial of Contemporary Art in Italy in 2005.

Further demonstrating her professional proficiency, Dari has created a series of bronze sculptures known as “Woman Evolve” that has been chosen for permanent display at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France. In addition, Pallo Jordan, the South African Minister of Arts and Culture, requested that a monument size version of this same series be erected in South Africa. Dari was also selected over several other artists to have a documentary filmed about her work that was aired on S.A. Today, a national South African television program.

Although she has gathered a considerable amount of her artistic expertise through her personal studies, Dari also studied under the tutelage of Professor Lukas Van Vuuren, Eric Laubscher, Professor Jacob Pichhadze, and Carel Van Biljon. She was awarded an arts residency at the prestigious Rodriguez-Amat Art Foundation in Spain, where she spent a month in 2007.
