Kay McCauley Honored For Expertise In Mental Health Nursing And Midwifery Education

Kay McCauley serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing, & Health Sciences at Monash University. A Registered Midwife and Nurse, Kay has been lecturing on midwifery and mental health nursing since 2000, when she first joined the prestigious educational institution as Lecturer. She is the author of many book chapters and journal articles and an expert in midwifery, mental health nursing, and women’s mental health post partum. A talented and sought-after presenter at conferences as well as an avid researcher, Kay’s research interests includes perinatal mental health, mental health nurses education, women’s health and wellbeing, and midwifery education.
Despite acquiring a vast part of her expertise through professional experience, Kay McCauley also acquired a PhD in Psychological Medicine from Monash University, a Master’s Degree of Nursing, a Graduate Diploma in Advanced Nursing, a Bachelor’s Degree of Nursing and NICU Certification. Kay completed her fellowship at the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN) and the Australian College of Midwives (ACM). She is also a distinguished member of the Australasian Society of Psychiatric Research (ASPR), Marce Society, and Australian Nursing Federation (ANF).
