Erna Toledo, RN, Represents Florida with Entry into Renowned Publication Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare
The International Nurses Association, INA, has carefully selected Erna Toledo, RN, to represent her nursing community in their publication, Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Erna’s selection is a significant representation of her passion and dedication to her call in the field of nursing. With over 25 years in practice, she is considered to be among the best in her line of work.
Erna is a Registered Nurse currently working at Osceola Regional Medical Center in Apopka, Florida. Her area of specialization is in Neonatal Nursing which encompasses the provision of critical care services for newborn infants during their first 28 days after delivery. In addition to her general nursing knowledge, Erna has received extensive training in ventilator support, resuscitation, advanced interventions such as hypothermia therapy for neonatal encephalopathy procedures and infant feeding intolerance management among other skills. She has previously served as a Nurse Manager at New York Methodist Hospital where she was not only in charge of a 25 bed NICU unit but also played an important role in the medical facility’s quality improvement programs.
In 1983, Erna received her nursing degree from Capitol Medical Center in Quezon City, Philippines. She is certified as a public health nurse (PHN) and maintains membership in the Florida Nurses Association as well as the American Nurses Association.
