HydroCision Announces New Content for WashAwayBackPain.Com

NORTH BILLERICA, Mass., April 3, 2012 — HydroCision Inc., a privately held medical device company, today announced the launch of new content for its patient website called www.WashAwayBackPain.Com. This new content will be devoted to educating patients about back pain and its novel out-patient procedure for Lumbar herniated disc treatment called Hydrodiscectomy.

Approximately 60 million people worldwide experience lower back pain, caused by herniated or bulging discs often in the lumbar region. It has also been reported this is a leading cause of disability among Americans 45 years of age and younger. WashAwayBackPain.Com represents a new dedicated resource for patients to learn more about back pain and to contact a physician who can perform non-invasive procedures. The website also has a physician portal where physician can learn more about this new medical device, and how they can gain a competitive advantage with this new technology.

HydroCision’s Hydrodiscectomy procedure uses a high velocity water jet (SpineJet) to quickly and effectively decompress lumbar disc herniations without the collateral thermal or mechanical trauma associated with other surgical modalities.
