Drawing upon her wealth of knowledge in the field as well as her tremendous teaching abilities, Jane currently serves as a K-1 Instructional Facilitator and Interventionist for the Cabot Public School District. In her position with the district, she works closely with a skilled group of educators in helping children with communication disorders and literacy problems in order to get them up to speed and avoid failing their courses.
Prior to her current assignment, Jane spent over twenty eight years as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the Cabot Public School District, where she was involved in the evaluation of students for the special education program and working on communication disorders with students of all levels. Over the course of her incredibly impressive career, she has provided assistance to students with various learning difficulties and helped them excel in the educational environment. Jane also served as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the Jackson County School District and as a KG Speech & Language Development Specialist for Truman Public Schools.
In addition to the considerable amount of expertise she has gathered through her vast professional experience, Jane is a highly educated individual who earned a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from Arkansas State University. She also studied Educational Leadership at the University of Central Arkansas and earned a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Evidencing her remarkable reputation in the education field, Jane is a member of the Arkansas Speech-Language-Hearing Association, American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Speech Pathology & Audiology. Further demonstrating her professional proficiency, she has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the Arkansas Speech-Language-Hearing Association Paula J. Gober Public School Award in 2004. Jane was also named as a State Education Advocacy Leader with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association from 2004-2007.
