Talented Bass Player and Music Teacher From California Is Welcomed Into Stanford Who’s Who

ALBERTA, CANADA, UNITED STATES, June 18, 2013 /Stanford Who’s Who/-- Stanford Who’s Who proudly announces the addition of John Clark to the ranks of professional individuals as a result of his work in the field of music performance. As a Self Employed Musician and Teacher, as well as throughout his entire career, John has consistently demonstrated the dedication, vision, and skills required to be considered among the best.

John Clark is a distinguished bass player, musician, and teacher who embarked on the challenging road to entrepreneurship in 1990. His journey in music performance covers the jazz workshop concert series with Stanford University, as well as the San Jose Jazz Festival, Russian River Jazz Festival, Sacramento Jazz Jubilee, Colorado Music Festival, Massachusetts Green River Festival, Britt Music Festival (Jacksonville), and Villa Montalvo Concert Series (Sunnyvale, California). John also performed at the NPR series Riverwalk Live from the Landing and collaborated closely with jazz poet, David Meltzer at the 50th anniversary of The Howl, Allen Ginzburg’s publication at the San Francisco Library.

John Clark also completed a variety of recordings, such as Cats to Corelli (San Francisco Symphony), Living in a Daydream (Cathi Walkup), Starting from Here (Dennis Finnegan), Trio de Swing, and Paul Dorr and John Clark.

Over the course of his 40 years of professional experience, John Clark taught electric bass, guitar, and upright bass at the San Francisco Community Music Center, Stanford University Jazz Workshop, and Bronstein Music. He has helped and supported hundreds of students, many of which have ultimately embraced professional and semi-professional careers in the industry.

John is currently involved with selling Victory motorcycles, which are considered the Holy Grail of ‘cruiser’ and ‘touring’ bikes to enthusiasts, he says, also stating “I’m quite proud to be associated with them, and their parent company, Polaris.” John also spends his time reading scripts, recording voice-overs and filming commercials that are running on the radio in Western Canada. His aim is to move into national commercials and then voice-acting, a goal he is sure to achieve given his dedication and passion for the industry.
