Over the course of his incredibly impressive career, Dr. Gautam has accumulated extensive expertise in the practice of engineering and the provision of management consulting services in the areas of hydropower development as well as the refurbishment and upgrade of existing hydropower facilities.

In addition to the considerable amount of expertise he has gathered through his vast professional experience, Kamal is an extensively educated individual who earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering the Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture, a Master of Science degree in Hydraulic Engineering from the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education and a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Hawaii. He is a Professional Engineer (PE) licensed to practice in the states of California, Hawaii and Wisconsin in the United States as well as in Nepal. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by Project Management institute (PMI).

Evidencing his remarkable reputation in the civil engineering and project management fields, Kamal is a member of numerous prominent industry organizations, including the American Society of Civil Engineers, International Project Management Institute, and the International Hydropower Association.
