His goal is to complement his natural business savvy with a strong foundation in technology, and finance. Lalit inherited his ingenuity and get-it-done drive from his father, a seasoned international businessman and began his career by joining his family business in 1996.
At a young age he championed the complete overhaul and modernization of the company’s production and marketing systems. Within less than two years, he had led his team in acquiring new businesses in three countries, while ensuring they got the highest customer satisfaction and production efficiencies’ across the company. Lalit worked in Dubai, London and many countries in Southeast Asia and led cross-functional teams in designing and implementing projects for MJPT; coordinated monthly meetings, maintained and facilitated communication on projects, avoided potential problems and initiated continual efforts to improve operations to achieve business targets by identifying situations to employ information services to enhance business opportunities.
- At Morgan Stanley Lalit managed a portfolio of around $30 Million each year as a part of the North America Project office, driving strategic technological enhancements on behalf of business, operations and IT, managing various Post Trade Technology groups including Position Services (PSR), Customer Tax, Operational Reporting and Exception Management Applications (OPREMA), Securities Lending and Corporate Treasury (Corp-Tsy) to resolve business problems and enable smoother operations. You will always find him with an enthusiastic and genuinely friendly attitude of ‘getting things done’ and driving results—through collaboration, partnerships, and relationships.
