Also an extraordinary entrepreneur with extensive expertise in essential oils, she runs an international mail order service known as Oils of Montrose, which offers a comprehensive range of skin care products.

A member of Rotary International, Laurel has been the recipient of numerous awards over the course of her incredibly impressive career. Among the awards she has received are an Australian Museum Award and an Australian Heritage and Cultural Award. Laurel has also earned multiple awards for tourism throughout Australia as well as several entertainment awards for her leading roles in local and metropolitan theatre productions.
