WELLINGTON , NEW ZEALAND, November 27, 2012 /Stanford Who’s Who /--  An accomplished leader in the architecture and design field, Robert Montgomery has enjoyed a successful career filled with numerous accomplishments, leading to his recognition in the exclusive network of prominent professionals with Stanford Who’s Who. Over the course of his phenomenal professional career, Mr. Montgomery has routinely exhibited passion, vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be mentioned among the elite.

Robert is the Managing Director of Peddle Thorp & Montgomery, Architects, a position that he has held since 1986. Peddle Thorp & Montgomery (PTM) is based in Wellington, operating throughout New Zealand and the Pacific. The practice works with the other New Zealand practice, Peddle Thorp Architects, Auckland, on projects by arrangement and has the support and co-operation of Peddle Thorp Architects, Melbourne, to undertake joint projects and resource projects in New Zealand. The practice is part of an international network of 9 Peddle Thorp offices in Wellington, Taupo and a representative, Mr. Ross Skinner, who currently acts for them in Christchurch.

The practice has designed high profile projects, including international hotels, high quality corporate offices, clubs, restaurants and hospitality facilities, education facilities, housing, communal interiors and master planning for local authorities and private companies. Projects include the $90 million Intercontinental Hotel in Wellington, the $40 million Vodaphone on the Park, at Midland Park, Wellington and the $60 million Hilton, Rarotonga.

Robert is a Director of several private companies involved in the building and property industry. Robert has a keen interest in all aspects of architecture and efficient and cost effective ways of building. This led him to research Modular Building Systems in the 1990’s, which he carried through into the formation of Modular.e.Systems. Robert is currently Chairman of Modular.e.Systems as the company closely considers its growth strategies, for green, strong, innovative, cost effective Building Solutions.

Modular.e.Systems is a natural evolution of Robert’s passion and talents. Through MES his stewardship will continue that commitment to value and quality that has underlined Robert’s contribution to the New Zealand urban landscape.

Robert is a senior Registered Architect in New Zealand and since starting his career 30 years ago, he has worked throughout his home country and abroad. Some of his projects took place in the Cook Islands, Australia, and Asia. Robert cares for the environment of the South Pacific and beyond, and strives to be as environmentally sensitive as possible in all the projects he supervises.

Mr. Montgomery is an Associate Member of the New Zealand Institute of Architects and has a passion for aesthetically appealing and environmentally – conscious or – “green” hotel design. In his free time, Robert Montgomery enjoys playing and watching cricket, golf, and rugby, and is the immediate Past President of the Wellington Central Rotary club.
