Bruce-Lyle, MD, FRCSG, to represent ophthalmology in their publication, The Leading Physicians of the World. Dr. Bruce-Lyle works at Inland Glaucoma, with 4 locations in California. With education and studies completed in Europe and Asia, Dr. Bruce-Lyle settled in the United States with a specialty of glaucoma, corneal diseases, and pediatric ophthalmology. Currently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Loma Linda University School of Medicine, Dr. Bruce-Lyle previously served King Faisal University, located in Dharan, Saudi Arabia. His current research projects include drainage devices for glaucoma, and his work in this research was recognized by UC Irvine.
In 1976, Dr. Bruce-Lyle received his medical degree from the University of Ghana. He then completed an internship in general surgery and internal medicine in 1977 at the Korle Bu teaching hospital, then followed that with internships in ophthalmology and internal medicine at Los Angeles County Hospital USC. His residencies then took him to 3 different countries: Zambia, Ireland, and the United States. With a Full license by the General Medical Council of the United Kingdom, Dr. Bruce-Lyle holds fellowships in the Royal College of Ophthalmology and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, Scotland.
