Linda Lloyd Pitts Is Displayed In The Stanford Who’s Who Network

FRESNO, CA,   January 29, 2013 /Stanford Who’s Who/ -- An accomplished artist with several years of diverse experience in the field as well as over two decades in the education industry, Linda Lloyd Pitts has consistently demonstrated the passion, vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be mentioned among the elite. As a result of her brilliant body of work, Linda has earned recognition in the celebrated network of prominent professionals with Stanford Who’s Who.

Initially exposed to art at the age of seven, Linda has been captivated by it ever since. It all started during her family’s summer trips to Chicago and led to her studying art at the Chicago Metropolitan Museum of Art which ultimately resulted in her starting to draw at a very young age. Fascinated by the work she found in the museum, she closely studied the art of the masters. Over the years she has drawn a great deal of inspiration from her close relationship with nature which is made apparent by her use of vivid colors that explode onto the canvas in her varied range of paintings.

In addition to being invigorated and inspired by the artwork she witnessed in the museums of Chicago, Linda learned her discipline from Alphonse Maria Mucha. She was then further developed through the assistance of Jean Carbonetti and obtained a great deal of encouragement from Eileen Richardson and her beautiful landscapes. Linda also experienced a loss of sight in her eye which added to her appreciation of color and image.

Over the course of her incredibly impressive career, Linda has had her work exhibited in numerous locations, including Sorensen’s Studio, Margaret Hudson’s Studio, Arte America, the Red Brick Gallery in Ventura, Peppertree Gallery, Fresno Philharmonic, Fresno Youth Philharmonic, and Planet Java. Her art has also been featured in various magazines, newspapers, and advertisements. Further demonstrating her professional proficiency, Linda’s work was chosen as the winning poster for Wine Cornucopia. Evidencing her remarkable reputation among her peers, she is a member of the Alliance of California Artists.

Although she has been a student of art as well as an artist for several years, Linda began her professional career as a social worker in the child services field after graduating from Fresno State, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology/Sociology/Anthropology. She went on to teach art to elementary school students for two years which led to over twenty five years of teaching.
