Lisa A. Raffile, RN, BSN, Represents Connecticut with Entry into Renowned Publication Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare
Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare and the International Nurses Association are proud to announce that Lisa A. Raffile, RN, BSN, is being honored for her exceptional successes in the nursing community. With many years in the industry, Lisa has demonstrated the passion, dedication, and enthusiasm for patient care necessary to be considered a Top Nurse in her field.
Lisa works for Dag Hammarskjold Middle School in Wallingford, Connecticut. Generally referred to as Dag, Lisa serves as the nurse to over 700 students from grades 6 to 8. Among her many duties include meeting the needs of an increasingly complex healthcare plan for children, as their healthcare needs are always evolving. From caring for diabetics with insulin pumps to juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, seizures, managing 15 life threatening food/bee allergies and adrenal hyperplasia are just a few of the things Lisa must care for. She also has to maintain state regulations for state physicals and immunizations on all of her students plus the everyday illnesses, psycho-social issues, and behaviors they possess.
In 1988, Lisa received her nursing degree. She is also certified in various forms of life support and IV Therapy. Her part-time work includes duties at the Alzheimers Resource Center, located in Southington, CT. She works there to keep up with her first passion: working in the geriatric field. Lisa is also on the Nursing Policy Committee for the Town of Wallingford and is a member of the National Association of School Nurses.
