Margaret is a contracted coach and motivational business advisor to small and large enterprises globally with Margaret Walsh Consulting. Paralleling this role, Margaret is currently the Managing Director of Face and Body, one of New Zealand’s premier beauty therapy and hairdressing company’s offering a wide selection of popular and proven techniques designed to improve clients’ appearance, self- esteem and stress levels.

In addition to the latest beauty therapy techniques, Face and Body also offers the most effective products from leading skin and beauty manufacturers. The salon proudly stocks “dermaviduals”, an individualized advanced modular skin care range, the New Zealand based Global “Living Nature Skincare” and the body line of “Pure Fiji”. Among its many services are dermal micro-needling, electrolysis, intense pulsed light therapy, hairdressing, ball makeup, manicures, pedicures, reflexology, hot stone therapy, spray tan, waxing and microdermabrasion.

Having begun Face and Body more than 22 years ago, Margaret has helped grow her company into an industry leader by paying careful attention to the needs of her clientele, and her team of staff and adopting the latest advancements in the industry.  Today her business employs 12 full time staff and enjoys a successful re-appointment rate of 87 percent.

As of August 2013, Margaret will begin importing and distributing the latest 21st century design, OBSERV 300, a diagnostic skin analysis device, to the Australasian and Asian Markets.

Margaret states, “After consulting with my accountant each quarter, annually attending three learning courses and regularly meeting with staff and clientele to glean ideas and test measures of success, this ownership structure has stood the test of time as the business continues to flourish in the Beauty Therapy and Hairdressing market.”

Face and Body has won numerous awards including the Waitakere Business Award in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2009 as well as placing 2nd in Marketing Excellence with the NZ Beauty Awards in July 2013.

Margaret holds a Bachelor of Education degree from Waikato University, a Diploma of Education and a Trained Teacher Certificate from Hamilton Teachers Training College. This educational base also includes four International Beauty Therapy Qualifications as well as a plethora of short courses from providers e.g. The University of Auckland Business School.
