Maryann F. Ramos, MPH, PA-C Represents Connecticut with Entry into Renowned Publication Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare
Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare and the International Association of Healthcare Professionals are proud to announce that Maryann F. Ramos, MPH, PA-C, is being honored for her exceptional successes in the physician assistant community. With many years in the industry, Maryann has demonstrated the passion, dedication, and enthusiasm for patient care necessary to be considered a Top Physician Assistant in her field.
Prior to her retirement, Maryann served as an Associate Professor and Physician Assistant at Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Specializing in problem based learning, Maryann remains passionate about expanding Latino Health Services. She is also the Site Administrator for the Chatham MPAS Students in Puerto Rico program, helping those in Puerto Rico serve as physician assistants where they are not usually allowed to. They are also trying to make healthcare requirements more stringent, along with the Physician Assistants for Latino Health. Through these efforts, Maryann is attempting to make Puerto Rico a safer place, while still practicing in Connecticut.
In 1973, Maryann received her degree from Rutgers University. She also holds a Master’s in Public Health Degree. Maryann has been awarded for her excellent care of civilians during the Pentagon crash on September 11, 2001. She was also awarded by the Veterans Caucus, with a Federal Civilian PA of the Year award for this service. For her work with Connecticut citizens, Maryann received an honorary life membership with the Connecticut Academy of Physician Assistants.
