Matt holds over 15 years of extensive and rich experience, which allows him to deliver high caliber services stemming from his professional journey across the mining, agricultural, governmental, and manufacturing sectors. Over the course of his career, Matt has successfully served in a full suite of key roles both internationally as well as throughout Australia with the Department of Human Services Australia, (National Award winning project in Motor Vehicle Collision Reduction), Bartter Enterprises, Steggles Ltd. and the world’s largest gold mining company, Barrick Gold Corporation.

Despite acquiring a vast part of his expertise through professional experience, Matt Russell also built a solid academic foundation. He graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology with a Certificate of Applied Science in Innovation and Service Management. Additionally, he attended the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Course with focus on quality, improvement, statistical analysis and change management with the University of Technology in Sydney and completed independent coursework while with the Department of Human Services Australia (Organizational Behavior with Arthur Shelley and Prince2 Project Management), Barrick Gold Corporation (ARMS, UTS, SAP), and Bartter Enterprises (Certificate IV in Project Management, Lean 6 Sigma Green Belt, Skilled Practitioner in XeP3 Process Reengineering).

Through Pyramax, Matt is currently working on a whole new perspective on how a company engages with clients as well as on how clients engage with their own staff and customers. In the development phase, "The Pyramax Perspective" will serve as a methodology that aims to bring the complexity of almost any business to a highly visual and interactive model with which all levels of a business can connect and “see their business in a whole new light…”
