Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, Dr. Kang specializes in treating problems of the heart at his private practice.
At his practice, Dr. Kang has clinical interests in the sub-specialty of nuclear cardiology, imaging, and therapy. Nuclear medicine typically involves the use of radioactive substances inserted into the body to help diagnose a disease or arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat). In the cardiology field, this often includes the usage of dye to highlight the blood flow to make sure it is flowing correctly. This can also be done for a stress test, to make sure the active and resting heart rate is accurate. Dr. Kang has completed research in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, on the subject of tachycardia (rapid heartbeat) and the effects of anti-arrhythmic agents.
