Rosemary Norwood Enters The Environment Of Stanford Who’s Who
LAUNCESTON, TAS, AUSTRALIA, January 4, 2013 /Stanford Who’s Who/ -- Rosemary Norwood is part owner/manager with her partner Sean Cadman of Forest Walks Lodge, an eco-lodge in Tasmania, Australia. Forest Walks Lodge is the culmination of three decades of working in conservation politics, planning and environmental assessment.
“After campaigning to protect Tasmania’s forests for 30 years we thought it was time to put our money into developing sustainable alternatives. My mission is to provide visitors and travelers to Tasmania with a quality experience which focuses on engagement with the Tasmanian natural and cultural environment” says Ms Norwood. “The small scale of our establishment ensures all our guests have a quality personal experience. We enjoy interacting with our guests and sharing our knowledge of Tasmania's unique natural environment.”
The environmentally friendly lodge, which is located in the picturesque valley of Jackeys Marsh in northern Tasmania, is surrounded by mountains, forest, and wildlife. The establishment offers comfortable accommodations as well as delicious food and wine, all in a spectacular setting in the wilderness.
In addition to the comfortable, quality accommodation provided at Forest Walks Lodge, there are guided walks designed to meet the needs of each individual as far as their interest level and physical abilities will allow. The interpretation during the walks may be intense and is targeted to each person’s background and degree of interest.

Her business, Forest Walks Lodge, is now visited by people wanting either an in-depth interpretation of the Tasmanian forest environment, or seeking information on how to build a sustainable house, or both. The Lodge is open to the public on Sustainable House Day in September in Australia each year. In alternate years Rosemary hosts the Jackeys Marsh Forest Festival which aims to educate all age groups about the importance of forests in our lives and the survival of our planet.
Rosemary entered the hospitality industry with three decades of diverse professional experience in project management, environmental education, administration and advocacy, working for both National and Local government and a variety of environmental non government organizations.
