Sylvia Iskenderian Displays Phenomenal Expertise In The PR and Communications Field

Sylvia Iskenderian is an outstanding public relations and communications expert with over 30 years of experience in her field. She currently offers her expertise in PR and community relations free of charge to various nonprofit organizations. Additionally, Sylvia held community seminars on various aspects of the Armenian culture, including its history, architecture, music, and art. She also speaks on the Armenian genocide, a field that she mastered with incredible modesty. Sylvia is widely recognized as an authority in crisis communications, media relations, and strategic communications.
During her collegiate career, Sylvia Iskenderian attended Macquarie University to study Arts and Political Science. Furthermore, she served as the Past President of the Amicitiae International Women’s Club in Sydney two times, member of the Literary Committee with the Hamazkaine Armenian Educational and Cultural Organisation, held the position of Vice President with the Armenian Relief Society’s Sosseh Chapter in Sydney, and also served as a member of UN Women and UN Australia. Sylvia is a member of AGBU and Mr. & Mrs. Iskenderian and a Patron with AGBU Alexander Primary School.
Sylvia is a Founding member and President of the Groung Armenian Women’s Association established in 1991, which serves as a charitable organization in support of the people of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. Within this capacity, Sylvia is credited for having organized and held major fundraisers to help the victims of the 1988 Earthquake in Armenia as well as the victims of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
In 1990, Sylvia headed a delegation to Armenia where she was invited by the Ministry of the Diaspora. She has published articles in both English and Armenian newspapers such as the California Courier, Armenia Weekly, Miutune and Garoon Magazines. Syvlia is currently the personal assistant to the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh in Australia.
