Due to his phenomenal body of work as well as the substantial amount of success he has experienced throughout his entire occupational history, Wayne David Knoll has earned recognition in the distinguished network of prominent professionals with Stanford Who’s Who.

Drawing upon his wealth of knowledge with Australian history and his exceptional communication skills, Mr. Knoll currently serves as a Tour Manager and Storyteller for Back of The Mountain Historical Tours. As a Historian of Australia, Wayne takes a close look at other nations to draw similarities and contrasts as he is true believer that one must review the past in order to gain a better understanding of the present and future. He is a writer of concrete and dynamic content.

With several years of experience as a writer, Wayne has accumulated extensive expertise and carved himself a niche in the areas of poetry; Yarra Valley, Melbourne, Victorian and Australian history; Germanic immigration and settlements in Victoria and Australia; The Australian indigenous frontier; and Otherness and the Inadequacy of Self. Over the course of his incredibly impressive career, Mr. Knoll has also served as Boarding House Master and Activity Officer for Yirara College of the Finke River Mission. In addition, he was the Creative Director and Manager of the WalkingBed Poetry Band.

On top of the considerable amount of knowledge he has gathered through his personal research and professional experience, Wayne is an extensively educated individual who earned a Diploma of Theology from the Melbourne School of Theology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Professional Writing and Literature from Victoria College. He also earned a Postgraduate Diploma of Arts in Australian Cultural Studies from the University of Melbourne and a Postgraduate Diploma of Education in English and History from the Australian Catholic University.

Evidencing his remarkable reputation in the literary community, Wayne is a member of the Cornish Australian Society. Further demonstrating his professional proficiency, he was called upon to perform original poetry at the Vice-Regal Ecumenical Memorial Service for Princess Diana in Canberra in 1997. Mr. Knoll was also shortlisted for the Hunter Valley Newcastle Poetry Prize and Published in Sunweight in 2004 as well as being named the winner of the Manual Gelman Literary Award for his poem, A Chosen Place in June of 1997.
